Everyone got dressed in their best attire and impatiently awaited the headmaster's arrival. The boys started to roughhouse.

Seamus loved tormenting his brother, "What if I gave you a black eye? Then you'd look awfully cute for the headmaster. I bet he wouldn't even let you in.".

"Go ahead! I'll just tell him who did it, then he won't let you in.", Atlas gleefully responded.



Hadron gave a brief tour of the condo, while Alice put the final touches on a nice turkey dinner.

"Oh, I didn't expect you to come in here. Please, excuse the mess and have a seat. Dinner will be out in a jiff.", Alice blushed.




Hadron and Alice ate in silence, desperately trying to hear what was going on in the dinning room. What were they talking about? Were the kids behaving?



"I'm working part time as a junior EMT, and hoping to go into the medical field later.", Seamus bragged.

"What about you?", the headmaster turned to Atlas, "And do you have a job too?".



"Well, I'm quite active in the school's drama club.", Atlas had to think fast, " Sometimes my buddy and I go to the park and busk for tips.".

Always eager to insult his brother, Seamus burst out laughing, "He means a real job, Atlas!".

The headmaster was impressed though. "An entrepreneur, I like that kind of enthusiasm.".



Everything went swimmingly, and the Higgs were accepted into the private school with a 110 rating.

Hadron rubbed his wife's shoulders, "You can relax now Alice, we made it.".

The first week I focused on introductions, and last week I featured relationships.

This week, the private school is opening it's registration, and the headmaster will visit each household as they strive to get accepted. Will they all make it? How well will they score?

Hadron and Alice had a rare day off together, and the luxury of sleeping in with all the kids at school.

Hadron rubbed his eyes, "Why don't we go out and get something to eat?".





They pulled into the pavilion. All the snow that had melted in yesterday's rainfall, was back that morning.

"I bet you're freezing, Alice," Hadron was concerned, "Let's check out the art gallery, and grab a bite there instead.".



"I thought I ordered a hot dog?"

*This is actually a little concerning.

"You sure know a lot about stars."

"Well, you know, my dad's a scientist.", Atlas replied, "So we grew up hearing a lot about astronomy and stuff like that .".




"I have something for you, but first, I was wondering how you felt about me.", Justin inquired.

Atlas hesitated for a moment, "A... kiss?".




"I was going to say Valentine, but I'll take that kiss!"

"Hey, Justin, incoming!"
Justin was caught off guard, "What the f-- Atlas?".



"BAM! Right in the face!"



Atlas paused, "Hey, I think we're being watched.".
"Wanna go someplace a little more private?", Justin beamed.



Justin lowered his voice, "Meet me at the park tonight around midnight.".
Atlas gave him a pat on the shoulder and nodded.

It's Saturday! Katrina invited a few of her friends over to hang out, "Our landlord is throwing a building party. I don't think we're supposed to be sharing, so keep it on the down low." Atlas and Justin gave each other a side eye. "Hard pass", Atlas said firmly. Candice picked up a slice, "Can't go wrong with free.".




Seamus was once again enamored by Candice. He didn't usually go for her type, but maybe they were more alike than he realized. (this isn't canon, lol)



Chase had a buddy over from the station after work. "Justin is it? You look familiar. I've seen you somewhere before." Justin fidgeted nervously, "I think you picked me up when I snuck out one night".". "Nah, I think it was on TV. Yeah, you were on that show with your family, the one with the dalmatian.". Justin turned a deep scarlet, "No, I get that a lot though.". He just can't escape being a former child actor.

I’m trying to get all my families to know each other again, and form bonds with each other (good or bad). What better way, than to have a house warming party!






It’s hard to say if it was a success, but it’ll definitely be the talk of the town.

Atlas rubbed his twin brother’s shoulders, everyone was feeling pretty sore from fishing and constructing shelters the previous day. “Looks like you and Lainey are getting pretty serious, eh?”.


“I was thinking of proposing to her.”, his brother confessed. “Yeah?”, Atlas nodded.


Whatever strife Atlas and Justin had prior to the plane crash, was all put aside as they embarked on their new journey and struggle for survival. Nothing else mattered now, not here on the island anyway.
