Getting angry.

"What were you thinking? The headmaster is going to see there's no adults living here, and call the social worker.", Gavin was livid, "Only families with certain credentials get in - celebrities, scientists, journalists, cops..".

"We're going to get in based on merit.", Ginger professed, "Plus, there's better scholarships there, and we need to think about our future.". Ginger knew money would be the motivator here.

Waving goodbye.

The following morning Ginger saw her brother on her way out for school, "Do you think you can get dinner started before I get home?".

"I'll make my famous spaghetti.", Gavin offered enthusiastically.

"And remember...", Ginger ran him through the routine once more, "Our parents were suddenly called away on business.".

Getting ingredients ready.

Ginger greeted the Headmaster at the door, briefly explained why their parents were absent, then excused herself to the kitchen.

"WTF Gavin! You were supposed to get dinner started before I got home.", Ginger was furious.

Gavin shrugged, "I dropped the plate".

Showing the children's room.

Ginger decided to show the Headmaster around, while Gavin whipped up a fresh pot of spaghetti, "This is the children's room".

The Headmaster's eyes lit up, "It's so... so... colorful.".

Ginger didn't skip a beat, "It's good for the eyes, and helps stimulate creativity in young minds.".

Showing the teen room.

"Gavin and I share this room.", Ginger suddenly realized they were short on rooms.

"But, where do your parents sleep?", his eyes narrowed, "Are there more rooms?".

"Oh, right.", Ginger didn't quite think this part through, "Well, the couch in the living room folds out into a bed, and they sleep there.".

A plate of spaghetti.

"Dinner's ready!"

At the dinner table.

The Headmaster devoured his plate, and started for the door, "It's a shame that I couldn't meet your parents, but it was lovely meeting you all. Spring quarter begins in March.".

"Wait!", Ginger was stunned, "Does that mean we made it in?".

The Headmaster smirked, "We'll see you in March.".

The Newsons scored 100 out of 90. I wasn't sure how this would go after the spaghetti incident, but the headmaster kept wanting to see more rooms - which was my saving grace.

Various Sim families.

The first week I focused on introductions, and last week I featured relationships.

This week, the private school is opening it's registration, and the headmaster will visit each household as they strive to get accepted. Will they all make it? How well will they score?

Shaking hands in a coffee shop.

Ginger ran in to her old teacher 'Ms. McGaw' at the coffee shop.

"That was a great performance, Ginger. It's so nice to see young people speaking up, and sharing their views."

Saying goodnight.

As the night was winding down, Lance confronted Ginger before taking off, "So, does this mean we're like, going out now?".

Ginger smiled, "Looks that way.".

Dream Date Roses

Shortly after, he snuck by to set some roses on her doorstep. Until tonight, Ginger never really considered Lance as a potential boyfriend. He was always just one of the guys who would drop by and hang out. But there he was, seemingly perfect in every way.

Ginger soothes Garrett.

"I'm going out to the coffee shop for a bit. Be good, ok?", Ginger soothed as she checked her hair before heading out.

Ginger takes the stage.

"Down with simoleons! Down with the Landgraabs!"

She had something to say, and was giving the performance of her lifetime, when who should show up, but Lance Hartman.

Lance shows up for open mic.

"Did you come out to watch me?", Ginger teased him, "How did you know I was here?".
"Oh, a little bird told me."

Ginger whispered to Candice.

"I don't know if you're interested, but my brother thinks you're pretty cute.", Ginger whispered to Candice.

Want to dance?

"You want to dance with ME?" Gavin was perplexed.

"Sure, why not?"

Georgia eating solid food.
The Newsons live in the trailer park downtown in Belladonna Cove. The oldest ones take care of their younger siblings while still going to school themselves, albeit part time, and holding down jobs. It's exhausting, but they look out for each other.

Being responsible.
"What do you mean, you can't go out?", Lance persisted. "Sorry, man.", I've got responsibilities.
