editing woes

I stayed up well past 5:00 AM working on my update. I had a little trouble with the teaser pic, and made several variations until I came up with one I was fairly pleased with. Come to find out, NONE of them had saved! I don't know whether to blame the program or sleep deprivation.

I've also decided to kick my sharpening up a few notches. I'm always so unsure about the unsharp mask settings on the Gimp. Please, tell me what you think:
